Mirjam works as an independent choreographer and dance artist in Basel, Berlin and London.

Her work has been shown in London, Berlin and Switzerland. Her current research looks at queries regarding authenticity in the correlation between sensation, emotion and physicality. 

The duet unknowing premiered in October 2015 at Theater Roxy Basel, and was performed at the Wellcome Collection London for over 500 people. It was reworked for 48-Stunden-Neukölln Arts Festival Berlin in June 2016 for an intimate audience in a private apartment. In 2018, unknowing will be touring to ten venues across Switzerland as part of Tanzfaktor 2018. Public Affairs was created in collaboration with refugees and Basel citizens. It premiered at Offene Kirche Elisabethen Basel in October 2016 and was performed in June 2017 at Kaserne Basel as part of Wildwuchs Festival. In May 2016 Mirjam created the durational site specific performance DISPLAY for Candoco Dance Company at the Wellcome Collection London with twelve performers and in collaboration with sound artists Tom Slater and Matt Lewis. Past works include the 12-hour durational performance DreamWalking XXIV, II in collaboration with visual artist Lise Chevalier and the duet Inside, Outside, On! created with multidisciplinary artist Javier Cura in residency at Shawbrook/Ireland.

As associate artist with Candoco Dance Company London, she works as a choreographer, rehearsal director, teacher and performer. Most recent performances include Trisha Brown's Set and Reset/Reset and Thomas Hauert's Notturnino for STEPS Dance Festival Switzerland, Jérôme Bel's The Show Must Go On (UK Theatre Award) and touring Studies for C by Javier de Frutos to India, Ukraine and Jakarta. 

Born in Switzerland, Mirjam trained at Basel Theatre, the Vienna State Opera, the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London (Transitions Dance Company, MA Dance Performance). She facilitates professional class and contemporary dance workshops, leads international dance projects and is a certified Qi Gong/Taiji Quan teacher. 

Mirjam is the recipient of the Dance UK Mentorship 2015/16 for future leaders in dance. In 2017 she is supported by the TANDEM program of Tanzbüro Berlin that mentors the collaboration of emerging choreographers and producers.
